tayside Dads - one to one support

Having a baby is a key transitional change in the life of a family. We know from research that the first 1001 days are vital, and supporting people at this vulnerable stage will help underpin their resilience, confidence and give their child the best start in life.

Dads Rock is working with the NHS Tayside midwifery teams to provide person centred, individualised care for families needing additional support with parenting. We are contributing to the holistic support of families by focusing on working with Dads from the antenatal stage through to postnatal stage, ensuring they feel supported during pregnancy and birth.

This is the first project providing dedicated support for Dads in Dundee.

dundee WhatsApp

Our WhatsApp groups provide a space for dads to connect. You’re free to ask each other questions or provide support and feedback to others who may be going through similar experiences. There’s some general chat too.

Joining is easy! Sign up here: WhatsApp

Please note by asking to join our WhatsApp groups your name and number will be shared with the other group members.

Dad Groups

There’s a weekly group for Dads to attend with babies/children (aged 0-5) at the Boomerang Centre at 10am every Saturday. You can sign up to come along here: DadsGroups Always check the calendar to see if it’s on! Calendar

Pop in and join us for a chilled out time with your wee one, grab a cuppa and hang out with other dads. Andy from Dads Rock will be around to chat each week. Whether you want support to understand your baby’s needs or how to grow your connection with your wee one we’re here.

We also go on Dads Days Out! Another fantastic chance for dads and their kids to get out of the house and meetup with others for some much needed fun. Please see our Dad Trip page for details or upcoming activities: DadTrips
