World Mental Health Day

It's World Mental Health Day today - 10th October 2024.

At Dads Rock we recognise that having a child is one of the biggest challenges and transitions in life. With Mental Health Day reminding us all of the importance of emotional well-being, it's clear that new parents face unique pressures that can affect their mental health. Add to this the fact that our world has been quite challenging and complicated in the last few years and you have to wonder if new parents have all the support they need.

That’s why we're here - to support Dads and families and provide the tools they need to give their children the best start in life whilst also prioritising their own well-being.

One of the things that's key to our work at Dads Rock is what difference it makes, and does it hit the mark? We actively seek feedback from our dads and families on a regular basis to learn what Dads Rock is doing well, and what changes we can make to improve. Our recent Dads survey gives a great insight into the value of our work across Scotland.

As we mark Mental Health Day, it’s a good reminder of how crucial it is to have strong support systems in place for parents. In a time where charities are being squeezed and funding is really tough, it's reassuring to know Dads and families get real tangible benefits from our support. You'll see below what our Dads think. The data speaks for itself, what Dads Rock does is vital, and there's a desire for more support around Scotland.
