At Dads Rock we often see the surface: the dad playing with his kids, the colleague laughing at a joke, the partner getting through the day. But beneath the surface, many men in our community are battling their toughest challenge in private.
Mental health struggles and suicidal thoughts thrive in silence and isolation. It's the struggle that feels too big to share, the voice that tells you you're a burden, and the belief that no one would understand.
Dads Rock invites you to a crucial evening designed to shine a light on these hidden challenges. We aim to break down the walls of stigma and create a community where it's okay to not be okay. We will discuss:
Building confidence in asking about and talking about suicide.
The subtle signs that a someone close might be struggling or contemplating suicide.
Discuss how deal with feelings of overwhelm and supporting other to do the same.
How to offer genuine, non-judgmental support and connect someone to professional help.
Resources available right here in our community.
Come and learn how to be the person who notices, the person who asks, and the person who makes a life-saving difference.Sign up here: MHW
